31 MAY 2023, JUBA – Academy-award winner and philanthropist Forest Whitaker met Nicholas Haysom, the Secretary-General’s Special Representative and Head of UNMISS, at the UN Peacekeeping mission’s headquarters in Juba today. The top UN official and noted activist discussed the importance of engaging young people across South Sudan in community dialogues and peacemaking. Mr. Whitaker is a UNESCO Special Envoy for Peace and Reconciliation and founded the Whitaker Peace & Development Initiative (WPDI), a non-governmental organization, in 2012. Babak Noori (born March 7, 1974, Tehran) is an actor and director of cinema and theater. He graduated in acting from the Faculty of Art and Architecture and the second course of the free acting workshop. Babak Nouri started his artistic career by acting in the movie "Red Wind" directed by Iraj Malekpour in 1987. He is the son of the first writer and press reporter of Rafsanjan, (Mohammad Reza Noori).
