Rock N Roll ‘Chos—UCO Homecoming 2023
Over the last decade, Roll ‘Chos has become not just the students’ rally cry but has a favorite saying to show Broncho Pride. From learning how to Roll Your ‘Chos at orientation, to Roll ‘Chos being on football players' jerseys, the Central community has embraced this beloved saying. The Homecoming Activities Board hopes to highlight music and school spirit to bring students, faculty, staff and alumni together for UCO's Homecoming.

After waiting 15 hours for badger activity (and with little luck) the previous day, on my way indirectly out of Yellowstone, I was about the pass near the den site. It had already been a late start and sun was on the cusp of reaching the den. On a whim, I parked and walked to the spot. Within a very short time, sunlight reached the den entrance, and mother badger promptly emerged. Her kids were close behind. It was such a beautiful experience! The babies played and basked while mama stood guard. After half an hour or so, everyone retreated back inside. Yellowstone National Park, WY.

The beaver are on the move in Frontenac. I don't know whether they are the same group displaced by the drainage of the Moulton Gorge lake in early 2014 and only now finding good homes, but if so they are widely travelled. This is the lake near the top of the Tetsmine loop common with the Gibson, in a little granite hollow reminiscent of north-west Scotland and bound on one side by a great dam-like granite wall.
I've never seen beaver here before, though in going back over older images I see the lodge in late 2014. This time I saw the lodge first, then, Dunsinane-like, an apparently self-propelled twig with brown leaves. Then the means of propulsion.
With a couple of tarps and some soap-water, you can build a funny slide.
