Hike: Twentse Wallen - Oldenzaal

While the underside structure is a lot different, the cockpit detailing is almost identical to Maelven's.

Looks like my Maktober will stretch a little, as I'm not done just yet :(

When the Galactic Republic fell, its old Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptors fell into disrepair, and many were salvaged and turned into scrap. But some were taken by enterprising individuals and converted into space racers. Veena Cebla, a talented Twi\'lek mechanic, turned one into a blazing fast racer for the ever-popular Outer-Rim racing circuits. Piloted by Salla Grimblo for the Galactic Racing Collective, it can make it through the gated race course in less than 12 parsecs. It has some light weapons systems to deal with the inevitable pirates that might be encountered along the way.

This is my entry for the Space Jam collaborative racing team entry. My teammate is THEE_BRICKOLOGIST.

Also my 5th entry to the third round of the Iron Forge, with the trapezoidal flags as the seed part. 18 are used in the gate and two on the ship. In fairness, the ship was built during round 1 but not posted till now. The gate was built for this round.

And after this whole week devoted to Ep. III famous jedi interceptor, here is the group shot.

Happy star wars days everyone !

This is probably the tenth interation of the Eta Actis I have thus far, and still I can't refrain myself missing with every colour combination I can think of! But other than that there really is nothing new here.

My second and by far best attempt at a jedi interceptor. It is now alot closer to minifigure scale, and has more accurate shaping of the wings.

Thanks for sticking around guys, more posts to come this week!

I made some modifications to Lewis Kiwi's and Maelven's MOCs.

I can't take any credit for the design of the wings, as these Are purely Lewis' design.

However, the cockpit/fuselage is a totally new build and features retractable landing gear.

It was a fun challenge, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Huge kudos to Lewis (and Maelven) for supplying the foundation for this build.

It seems I'm amassing a bit of a Republic Armada. What should I tackle next...?

Yup, still fiddling with colour variations with this model, it's virtually limitless ! Those really came through as some of the best I think.

Also, I post this to say that I'll (finally) upload some instructions in the next few days, or at least several useful gut-shots.

Enjoy !

Edit : Instructions

I've done this one already in the past using dark bley instead of light bley, depending on the screenshot I gather both can feel pretty acurate. I just needed to try the lighter version.

So here's for the second one.

Dark Purple is a pretty funky colour, I learned pretty early in the building that I shouldn't overuse it, even though part availability is slowly growing...

Anyway, Mace Windu is for me a good example of what could have been a very repectable, very wise Jedi master of the old republic. But I'm still not convinced by the way it was shown on screen, and I do not blame Samuel L. Jackon. ^^

Enjoy, and see you tomorrow ;)

My LEGO Star Wars Republic Hangar MOC. It has around 7500 parts, it's actual the 3rd version of this long living project that started in 2015.

Well, he is technically 'reborn' as Lord Vader already at this particular point of the movie, isn't he ?

Who cares anyway, dark green is pretty cool, and the range of available parts is growing and growing =)

Enjoy !

Slight change of mood for this third one. Being designed to be some kind of missing link between Tie Fighters and Delta-7 Aethersprite, I like the idea of a rise of the Empire era where some Eta's are still in use, only for the best of the best of course.

Some minor retrofits are worth mentioning : No more Astromech, the gain in weight allowed for additional armor plating on the lower part of the front canopy, which is uncommon enough for the empire to be noticed ;)

N.B. You can also see on this picture my entire collection of light turquoise =]

Enjoy

This was done a while ago, just was never pictured. This was reversed engineered off of Maelven's. Not 100% to his, but close enough.

I finally reached the end of my tether with LDD while trying to part out this ship. I realised that half the pieces I'd used for the front of the wings didn't actually exist in dark red, prompting a small redesign.

This was done in stud.io, which I couldn't be more impressed with. The whole design process is much smoother - I'm smitten by the colour availability feature and in-built rendering in particular. It only makes me wish I'd made the switch earlier.

So, to celebrate those upcoming star wars days, I'll be uploading one of these in a different colour scheme each day until the end of the week.

It's all built already so you won't escape it !! ^^

More seriously though I've been playing a lot with colour variation on this, and managed to tweak my original model a bit, most apparent change is that I reduced the wing span by one full stud.

Hope you'll enjoy this mini-series

N.B. This particular paint scheme wasn't my own idea, I've seen a model kit over on Deviantart painted almost the exact same way. And I just thought it would fit master Quinlan Vos quite well. :)

In fact, I prefer it that way, when it's not trying to disguise itself into a Tie fighter.

More London is a development on the south bank of the River Thames, immediately south-west of Tower Bridge in London. The southern exit is on Tooley Street.

It includes the City Hall, a sunken amphitheatre called The Scoop, office blocks, shops, restaurants, cafes, and a pedestrianized area containing open-air sculptures and water features, including fountains lit by coloured lights. The Hilton London Tower Bridge hotel opened in September 2006.

More London is 13 acres (53,000 m2) in size and has planning consent for 3,000,000 square feet (280,000 m2) of mixed use space, of which up to two million square feet will be offices, accommodating up to 20,000 people. The buildings were designed by Foster and Partners architects and some are still under construction. The buildings are known as 1 & 6 More London Place, and 2, 3, 4 and 7 More London Riverside. The public realm, which includes The Scoop, water features and planting areas were designed by Townshend Landscape Architects.

The area contains many professional services and financial services firms, including Ernst & Young whose headquarters is 1 More London Place, PricewaterhouseCoopers at 7 More London Riverside, Gowling WLG, Norton Rose Fulbright, Markit Group Limited, Hitachi Consulting, Terra Firma Capital Partners, Cargill Investor Services, Hewitt Associates whose European headquarters is 6 More London Place, HgCapital, Actis, Aureos Advisers and TNS Research International. Other types of firms in the buildings include Teach First, Truphone, Visit London, Globeleq, the restaurants Strada, Gaucho and DIM T, and the Unicorn Theatre for Children.

There are frequently outdoor exhibitions and cultural events in More London, usually associated with City Hall.

With the final BL order in, I am pleased to present the chibi Eta-2 Actis Jedi Starfighter.

Being able to play with proportions and squishing things down made for a very fun build. I was able to squeeze in some details underneath the S-foils as well as being able to see through the front windscreen.

Well this one is kind of a mix between Odi-Wan's & Ahsoka's, but then again, Master Kenodi always seems to be borrowing starfighters...

It's not my personal fav' ( I'm keeping them for last ^^) but man I love dk Red !
