I've cut and gessoed some thick cardboard into a dozen 2.5x3.5inch "Artist Cards, Editions, and Originals". That should last me a while. This one is from a photo taken in a house in Lorraine.

I'd love some feedback, my lovely Flickr friends! I wanted to do some ACEOs, to experiment a bit, and get back to some drawing, so I did these. I'm having a lot of trouble with the backgrounds. My first thought was to collage them, but I hated all the fiddly cutting out of my drawing. (The one top right has a background of Cath Kidston paper, but you can't see it for glare. Sorry.) I didn't really want to spend time on a detailed background, but maybe that's the only way to go?

The mask image is from one of my oldest carvings, made fresh again!
