JNUSU congratulates the student community for their massive participation in today's protest demonstration at theCentral Librnry. The response ofthu student community is a cluar proof of' the gcntJilll: anger and dcl:p com:ern of' the.
students regarding the deplorable condition ofthe library fac ilities. The JNUSU, through a detailed feedback from the.
students as well as the faculty, prepared a comprehensive charter ofdemands which was submitted to the Librarian..
Copies of the charter ofdemands are also being submitted to all deans and chairpersons..
Following the demonstration, a JNUSU delegation had a long deliberation with librarian and his team . We report.
below a summary ofthe discussion and assurances by the librarian on various demands in the charter..

With regard to book purchasing, the librarian stated that each month, the Iist of books purchased was sent to each.
