Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a black and white day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday. Since we went apple picking yesterday, I decided to go with a flying apple. Strangely enough we never had a flying apple on this photostream. And I’m not talking about levitating apples ! I’m talking about an actual apple with wings and flying… I’m truly surprised but then again my gin and tonic soaked memory is … well…soaked in gin and tonic. So without any further delay: flying apple. Be carful, not to get hit by this flying apple !!
When an apple hits you in the head you might feel a little bit disoriented or lost for a while, some hurtful childhood memories may resurface. I'm talking from personal experience...once my son hit me with an apple by accident since his abilities to throw something at a moving target with success are as good as mine… It felt like I almost got a concussion !!
Mucho, mucho amor for you all !! And see you soon !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!
Yesterday I took my old camera and old lens to wander around in the rain. The maple trees that were here grow tall and too close to the house. But for now we won’t have to make a decision.
Shooting in RAW allows for a lot of mistakes. Mostly, however, this is about as shot.

@ Hazardous
I was sitting on a bench at Hazardous reviewing some earlier shots taken at another sim. I was enjoying this windlight (PhotoTools - Thalia Light 02) and decided to snap a quickie. Not thinking it'd come to much I did a quick blur but as the filter was finishing it left an artifact of lines that I really liked. Not breathing too hard for fear an errant keystroke would lose me the effect I did a quick save to capture it. A happy accident.
Now that the weather is not as extreme, taking out my dslr again, and oops! But I like this accident - gives the crow a sense of mystery.
what we were doing the day of the accident, the one we missed by twenty minutes. but we can't dwell on timing. it carries us along and we have no say over it.
I was drawing the curtains when I accidentally broke off one of the flowers from my amaryllis plant. I didn't want to throw it away so I put it in one of my little "casualty" pots, where it bloomed happily for just as long as if it had still been attached to the main stem - HMBT!
My vlog of this one is up now youtu.be/VOVVdc-sH-c I find photographing snow very tricky. Sometimes I just cannot find a composition in all the chaos. This image was almost shot by accident. I had decided that this tree in the middle of the image was going to be my focal point but the first couple of shots looked dull on the camera's screen. Then all of a sudden this light started to pour through the trees and changed everything. I decided not to recompose as I liked the contrast of the darker side of the woods to the light on either side of the image. Photographed at Forgandenny in Perthshire, Scotland.

We are accidents waiting, waiting to happen.

So I came across this little lucky charm in the garden by accident just looked right down & saw it. It is a four leaf clover! I took it as a sign..
I am going to a casino today (not joking.. I really am (not vegas though I wish).. just a local one run by the Mohegan Native Americans.
---------------------
"The four-leaf clover is an uncommon variation of the common, three-leaved clover. According to tradition, such leaves bring good luck to their finders, especially if found accidentally. According to legend, each leaflet represents something: the first is for hope, the second is for faith, the third is for love, and the fourth is for luck."

When i get back from the trip I will try & write out more what I did to this one. But to keep it short, I brought it in from RAW. tweaked the exposure, contrast & vibrance, then did a curve adjustment layer, added texture, and painted with light. I also did a hue adjustment layer to get out some of that ucky brown in the background

The South-East side of the Rion – Antirion bridge, aka the Charilaos Trikoupis bridge, Greece. A 348 ft (106 m) long ship is seen under the bridge on a course crossing the strait; it is a ferry boat weighing 1,800 tons.
The bridge was the longest multi-span cable-stayed bridge in the world with its 7,388 ft (2,252 m) continuous and fully suspended deck when constructed (in 1997–2004). The foundations lay on a seabed reaching 213 ft (65 m) of depth and they have a 295 ft (90 m) diameter. During the 7-year long construction no serious accidents were reported, no single drop of blood was shed. The bridge is a landmark of Greece in the 21st century and is named after the late Prime Minister Ch. Trikoupis who spoke in the Parliament about the need for such a bridge in March 1889!
It was an accidental click on my GF2 touchscreen I guess. But I love this angle! :)

Mummy in a helmet but not the kids! No, she loves her children. It is just that she, like many Delhites, do not understand the importance of safety precautions. The lady is wearing a helmet because it is illegal to ride a bike otherwise. If she was alert to the safety issues all these delicate darlings would have been helmeted.
Now think what would happen if this happy family meets an accident?
