Sometimes nature can be so abstract. A bubbling brook reflecting sky and bare winter trees. I played with the riffles for a while. They were mesmerizing and every moment was a different composition.

Today I had a great day with my friends from Kendall Camera Club. We had a raining day today here in Miami, but the afternoon turned very nice and a very nice sunset. Thanks to Robert that took us to this spot.

Since this says this image was taken with my camera, I knew it must be a photo-manipulated image, but I couldn't remember what photo I used to create it.

I always leave the number(s) of the original image(s) in the titles when I save them to my computer, so I found the image and then I realized that I had used an app on my iPad that created a constantly-changing image which I could manipulate. But I couldn't figure out a way to stop the movement or take a screen shot, so I snapped some photos from the screen with my camera.

This image was a composite I created in Photoshop using three different shots.

Digging through my archives and found this. Still a bit unsure as to whether I like it. Taken near a pond in Cornwall, it's essentially a long exposure with movement.

Pele's hair, which is named after Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes, is a geological term for volcanic glass threads formed when small particles of molten material are thrown into the air and spun out by the wind into long hair-like strands.

Thanks to CM for the idea for the title.
