This image take a break from my usual photos of large landscapes with clear focal points and astrophotography, and introduces something a little more abstract. I love the colours reflected in the sand, the textures and the leading lines. Especially compared to the lack of definition in the smoothed-out waves. But without a clear focal point, I'm not completely sure whether it works or not...

I continue to explore my 3D abstract work in a new format.
Advice: Everyone make sure your drives are working well.
Back them up again. They do not last forever. I lost all
of my old 3D work this week. I start over, It's just another
lesson learned for me.

Since this says this image was taken with my camera, I knew it must be a photo-manipulated image, but I couldn't remember what photo I used to create it.
I always leave the number(s) of the original image(s) in the titles when I save them to my computer, so I found the image and then I realized that I had used an app on my iPad that created a constantly-changing image which I could manipulate. But I couldn't figure out a way to stop the movement or take a screen shot, so I snapped some photos from the screen with my camera.
This image was a composite I created in Photoshop using three different shots.
Pele's hair, which is named after Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes, is a geological term for volcanic glass threads formed when small particles of molten material are thrown into the air and spun out by the wind into long hair-like strands.
Thanks to CM for the idea for the title.
Due to chronic poor health I'm unable to take on new contacts but do my best to reply to comments. Thank you so much for your interest, comments and favours on my photostream. Also for your good wishes. I send you joy and peace.
