Another RAW rework from 2 year old file. Fermilab was home to the Tevatron proton collider, shut down September, 2011. On July 2, 2012, they announced significant evidence as to the presence of the Higgs Boson, a particle with 125 the mass of a proton, necessary for the Higgs field which allows subatomic particles to have mass and all that is dependent upon that. Two days later, the scientists at CERN's Large Hadron Collider published their confirming results. We live but a few miles from Fermilab, and I've done many shoots there with Wilson Hall offering unique architecture and a plethora of photo ops.

This particular RAW file interpretation made yesterday was occasioned by references tdwrsa made to M.C. Escher's work in connection with my previous post. (zoom in -- if you can ;-)

Happy First Day Of 2025!!!

What, not abstract enough for ya? ;)

I wonder how many prints I will manage to sell of this one...

Interior detail of Temppeliaukion Church, a Lutheran church in the Töölö neighbourhood of Helsinki, Finland. It is known as Rock Church, or Church of the Rock, in Helsinki, Finland.

Architects: Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen.

It opened in 1969.

I was lucky to visit it on a sunny day in June 2022.

I rather had fun with this theme. The corners of the mats in a framed print.

Happy New Year to all my Flickr friends.

A montage of a couple of photos I made previously. No matter how dark it gets, the light eventually will return. Have faith, remain strong, don't let the bastards grind you down.

This is a Cubist villa designed by the French architect, Paul Sinoir in the 1930s. Yves St Laurent lived at the house from the early 1980s until his death.

The house was built in the Majorelle Garden, a two and half acre botanical garden and artist's landscape garden in Marrakech, Morocco. It was created by the French Orientalist artist, Jacques Majorelle.

These are actually staircases inside the Euskalduna Conference Center in Bilbao.

For post-processing, I used a combination of local contrast contrast enhancement, G'MIC chromaticity boost, and adjustment of color temperature (also in G'MIC).
