The three-masted "Abel Tasman" was designed under the motto of sailing and partying. It has become a unique party boat, fitted out in the style of a 'grand café': dark wood panelling, much copper and a solid wood floor.

SAIL Amsterdam is a maritime event held once every five years in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Tall ships from all over the world visit the city to moor in its eastern harbour. SAIL Amsterdam 2025 is the tenth edition, and the first one since 2015 as the 2020 event was cancelled. It was one of the main events celebrating Amsterdam's 750th birthday. It was also 50 years since the first SAIL Amsterdam was held.

Egy intenzív tavaszi zápor során pöfög a Csömödéri Állami Erdei Vasút gőzmozdony (MÁVAG 490.2002) vontatású tehervonata a sűrű erdőn keresztül Pörkölt felől Zajda irányába. A hangulatos zalai tájon fekvő Csömödéri kisvasút az ország leghosszabb kisvasút-hálózata, szerteágazó szárnyvonalak teszik izgalmassá, összesen több mint 100 km-es hosszal rendelkezik. Egykoron számos kisvasút volt hasonlóan szerteágazó, vagy rendelkezett nagy hálózattal, de sajnos ezek jellemzően áldozatul estek a közlekedési koncepció(k) általi bezárás(ok)nak. Azon kevés kisvasutak egyike, ahol még rendszeres teherforgalom van. Ábel gőzös szereplése a tehervonat élén ritka alkalomnak tekinthető, hisz a szárnyvonalak terhelhetősége miatt itt is a C50-es mozdonyok a jellemző vontatási járművek.
An early summer morning on one of the many inviting golden sandy beaches of Abel Tasman National Park.
I was going through my old work, and I found this photo from Abel Tasman in December 2018. This was taken on the morning of my last day tramping the Abel Tasman Coastal Track - one of the nine great walks of New Zealand. For sure, it lives up to the great walk status, and it was a great option as an end of the year activity for year 10 students at my school. Looking back as a year 13 student today, that trip remains as one of the highlights of my time in secondary school which will come to an end in four months.

A perfect pearl of the sky, Abel 39 is a faint planetary nebula shaped as a silky smooth sphere 5 light years diameter. The shell was thrown off by the central star as it evolved into its final white dwarf stage. Abel 39 lies relatively close to us at about 7,000 light years in the constellation Hercules. Visible through the nebula at the 2:00 position is a far more distant (and only apparently tiny) spiral galaxy.
This image was captured under high desert skies near Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA with a telescope of 12" aperture at f/8 and an electrically-cooled CCD camera. This image was taken through a narrow-band oxygen-III (blue green) filter. Total exposure was nine hours.
