After drinking and playing cards all day with friends in a shed intended (but not used) as a public market, a man leaves with 100 Pesos (about US$ 2) to buy more liquor.
This money is enough to buy about 2 liters of cheap whiskey. In the Philippines alcohol is taxed at very low rates.

This is my entry to the LCC Global Contest #6, Unrestricted category (AxB > 32x32).
Show your character preparing for rebellion against the Queen’s forces. This can be stockpiling/forging weapons, gathering intelligence on the enemy, secretly assembling troops, etc.

The SEAL team split up. Wolfgang headed north to his father's lair to fetch the silver that Sir Caelan paid them. The rest of the gang bought some supplies in the nearby city of Grahnhaven and then moved to Uncle Woolsey's cave. They were supposed to meet Wolfgang here but he did not show up on the due date.
Four days passed by... The gang became concerned so they decided to head north and meet Wolfgang half way. They encountered some really depressed travellers on the road; all of them were complaining about the new Queen's forces who apparently started to gain control of this outlying area in southern Garheim too. A new patrol enforces the taxation orders of the Queen (which is basically "shut up and give us all your money").
The forest turned slowly into a rocky countryside. As they got around a huge boulder they ran right into the Queen's patrol.
"Halt! In the name of Queen Galainir, we demand that you pay the taxes!" said a black knight, the supposed commander of the patrol.
"But we are outlaws, good Sir knight! I thought her Highness had a we-charge-no-outlaws policy! Can't we just carry on? asked Söndör.
"None shall pass until you payed us!" the black knight looked at his troops and nodded towards the gang. The soldiers drew their weapons and started to surround them...
"As you wish, good Sir. How much do we need to pay?"
"Let's start with all your money! And the wagon... If we take the wagon, we also take the supplies on it, so you don't have to carry those heavy goods. Just to show you how generous I am, I let you keep your weapons.
There was nothing to do. The team was outnumbered, their weapons were on the wagon and the soldiers were just waiting for a suspicious movement to storm them. The gang handed over all their possession and hit the road followed by the laughter and taunts of the soldiers.
"That is just great!" said Zlorf. "Wolfgang won't be thrilled. He was not fond of the Queen till now, but he will be enraged, especially when we tell him that not only our supplies have been confiscated but Oinky and Porky too!"
"I agree, let's find him for starters." said Letz.

From Leeds to York in under 48 hours! Well, not 48 hours by the time you're reading this, but a snap decision to head on down to York Outlet for the first time since March 2020 was made, and in that time, I finally was able to sample York's new Metrodecker EVs! Well, by 'sample', I mean look and photograph. And I'm starting from the back of the row because I managed to cock up and get the debranded one first - and honestly, that's not a good angle to start with.
First York finally received it's promised fleet of 21 Metrodecker EVs from Optare throughout 2020, slowly building them up and registering them in increments over the course of the year. They are here to replace all but five of York's articulated Citaros - five are retained due to lowbridge requirements - and are specified with dual doors, supposedly luxury interiors featuring a very interesting lighting system, and of course, an electric drivetrain. From what I recall while hanging around to get all three of them, they sure are whisper quiet! They also come specified with this new livery that has now been applied across the entire York Park & Ride network, which, admittedly, has kind of grown on me. The one thing I do wish First specified, though, was a larger destination display to fit all the dead space in the London-spec blind box. Come on. If Transdev could do it, why can't you? It just looks a bit odd.
Finally photographed for the first time after having not been to York since right before the lockdowns began, seen here entering the York Designer Outlet bus stand of the York Park & Ride is First York's 'Park & Ride'-branded 39504, a 2020 Optare Metrodecker EV ordered all the way back in March 2019, here finishing a working on the 'Red Line' 7 to the York Designer Outlet.
In a recently harvested field, a woman sifts chaff left by the threshing machine. The wind blows away the straw while heavier grains land at her feet. She can gather 50 kg of unpolished rice in a 15 hour day. This will be milled to 25 kg of polished white rice, worth about $10.
Many squatters from the railroads in Manila have been relocated to a settlement 40 km south of the city, called Southville, where there are essentially no economic opportunities. Some residents scrape out a partial existence by picking up grain that has been missed by harvesting operations in nearby fields. You can see the concrete houses of Southville in the background.
