Shen and the PhD students are members of Henry Liu’s research team. They used artificial intelligence to train virtual vehicles to challenge autonomous vehicles using adversarial behaviors. There are rare events that happen on the road that current autonomous vehicles cannot handle because it takes billions of miles to collect the needed data. By creating virtual vehicles that the autonomous vehicle responds to as if they were real, the time and mileage needed for testing is dramatically reduced.

This picture was taken from a building located at "Rua Vergueiro" also, 7th ~ 8th floor, but more focused to show the "Av. 23 de Maio" ('May 23' Avenue) that can be seen there behind the the flat construction. Other interesting point that can be seen on this picture, are the towers/antennas of Av. Paulista there on the skyline.
The most interesting one is that colorful on the left: it changes its colors (don´t know according to what - but I heard it depends on the weather´s temperature...) showing a variation of cold/hot colors...rainbow-ish, isn´t it?
