July 31st saw the start of the Athletics competitions at the University of Manitoba Stadium. Les prémières compétitions d'Athlétisme ont débuté lundi au stade de l'université du Manitoba

Not my best set, these photos were plagued from the outset. Fisrtly, it was dark inside and no amount of flash would fill it. Since the long end of my lens only opened up to f5.6, it made shooting conditions difficult. A fast shutter speed, to freeze the action, didn't let in enough light, an ISO of 800 made shots grainy and the ignorant G4S security did not understand why a monopod didn't fall under the tripod ban, forcing me to shoot handheld. I've resurected a lot of shots using PSE7 but most were consigned to the recycling bin on my computers desktop.
