A sunset I was lucky enough to witness when home in Perth over Christmas. Wish I'd had my new camera that day, rather than my camera phone. It was a beauty. Posting as a response to this photo by my good friend.
The George (Asda) ideal of family life: He is obviously an indie-rocker, or maybe a slightly edgy upcoming actor, possibly the next Dr Who. She is probably a respected architect's PA or hell, she might even be the respected architect. This is the 21st century. They have a fantastic sex life and appear to have children, but the white boy is actually the nephew of one or the other's fat ugly sister because these people are too cool and into themselves to be wasting their time having kids. And the cute little black boy is nephew's best mate because no way he's related to either of them.
Yep, I'm so fucking cynical I virtually live here, do my shopping almost every single day. And it is actually a pretty good supermarket, but I reserve the right to take the piss all the same.

This is the sort of ignorant parking that makes the air turn blue when theres no where to park and you see this when driving around to find a space.

Dragon Road Goods Yard and coal drop. Incredibly Harrogate had its own goods yard with a daily good train well into the seventies and was located immediately to the left of Northern Rails 142062 as she passes on her way into Harrogate passing two of the remaining semaphore signals. To the right can be seen Nydd Vale Terrace.... a childhood haunt many years ago. Only a few years ago was the green fencing added to the wall, prior to that,as a child it was exciting to be so close to the trains
The goods yard was quite large and was often full of various wagons. Immediately to the left of the units above stood the coal drop. Coal wagons were shunted up a gradient and then dropped their coal through the bottom of the wagons into piles below for onward delivery by the coalman.
The location is now used as a car park and the towns ASDA supermarket and is becoming engulfed in trees and bushes
