La historia de Ainhoa se remonta hasta su fundación en el siglo XIII por el noble navarro Juan Pérez de Baztán.
La localidad fue construida alrededor de uno de los ejes transfronterizos del Camino de Santiago y como vicaría de la Orden Premonstratense del Monasterio de Urdazubi-Urdax.
Sin embargo su apariencia actual en la que destaca la arquitectura típica de la zona (con entramados de madera pintados de rojo o verde) corresponde a la reconstrucción que fue llevada a cabo en el siglo XVII tras los destrozos sufridos en la Guerra de los Treinta Años.
Gracias a la conservación de esta tipología urbana, Ainhoa está incluida en la lista de “Los pueblos más bellos de Francia”.

The church of Santo Domingo in Chiapa de Corzo has a beautiful silhouette. It dates from the 16th century and houses in its main tower one of the largest bells in the country.

Das Benediktinerkloster Stift Melk liegt in Niederösterreich bei der Stadt Melk am rechten Ufer der Donau. Der heutige (Barock-)Bau wurde in den Jahren 1702–1746 von Jakob Prandtauer errichtet. Als Wahrzeichen der Wachau gehört es zum UNESCO-Welterbe.
Das Kloster Sankt Joseph ist ein Kloster der Ursulinen in Landshut in Bayern in der Diözese München und Freising.
What struck me about this beautiful courtyard was the amazing wall paintings going up all surrounding walls.
Beautiful reflection, photo taken just before a boat came along and then the reflection was over.

Its heyday was in the 1920s, when together with Potsdamer Platz it was at the heart of Berlin's nightlife, inspiring the 1929 novel Berlin Alexanderplatz and the two films based thereon, Piel Jutzi's 1931 film and Rainer Werner Fassbinder's 15½ hour second adaptation, released in 1980. About 1920 the city's authorities started a rearrangement of the increasing traffic flows laying out a roundabout, accompanied by two buildings along the Stadtbahn viaduct, Alexanderhaus and Berolinahaus finished in 1932 according to plans designed by Peter Behrens.

ArtZuid International Sculpture Biennial Amsterdam 2017
The fifth edition of the International Sculpture Biennial Amsterdam, ARTZUID 2017, takes place from 19 May – 17 September, 2017. Curator Rudi Fuchs presents 65 abstract sculptures of post war artists on the Apollolaan, Minervalaan, Churchilllaan and the Zuidas business district. ARTZUID 2017 follows the theme year Mondrian to Dutch Design – 100 Years of De Stijl ands shows the influence of the Dutch art movement De Stijl on post war Dutch sculpture.
What you see here is a part of the artwork of Cristóbal Gabarrón named "Enlighted Universe" in front of the Amsterdam Symphony Towers. These iconic towers , 105 meters in height, are designed by Pi de Bruin and symbolize the financial heart of the Zuidas.
