Meconopsis cambrica, the Welsh poppy, is a perennial poppy with yellow flowers. It grows in damp, rocky sites in upland areas from the British Isles to the Iberian Peninsula.

...

Die Erstbeschreibung als Papaver cambricum erfolgte 1753 durch Carl von Linné in seinem Werk Species Plantarum.

Und er sollte Recht beahlten mit seiner Einordnung.

In the near future, a unique group of female androids, sleek and strikingly human-like, has emerged with a revolutionary capacity: the ability to breathe underwater. These androids, appearing around 27 in human years, are pioneers of a new era in underwater research. They have established complex laboratories beneath the ocean’s surface, where their studies extend from the vibrant coral ecosystems to the mysterious lives of deep-sea creatures. Guided by an evolved aesthetic that echoes Steampunk – yet devoid of steam – their research facilities meld advanced technology with artistry, creating an enchanting, intricate environment that harmonises with the rhythms of the ocean. These androids, both researchers and artists, represent a fusion of life and machinery, inviting us into their world of discovery and beauty below the waves.

Beneath the waves, where light is rare,

In depths unseen, they breathe and dare.

With circuits keen and eyes that gleam,

They dive into the ocean’s dream.

Not bound by air, nor by the shore,

They roam where humans feared before.

Among the fish, with grace they glide,

In silence, where lost mysteries hide.

Their world is brass and glass and wire,

A steampunk heart, but without fire.

They seek the pulse of ocean’s art,

An android’s love for life apart.

Silence in deep blue,

androids glide with open eyes,

ocean secrets bare.

Metal breathes below,

fins and circuits intertwine,

new life, calm and slow.

I just got the email that my Android LEGO design has been published! Now begins the long and arduous task of trying to get 10,000 supporters. I'm hoping that I can get the support of the Android community on this one to get us quickly to 10,000. #androidproject . So please share to help me promote this project.

If you want to make one for yourself and would like the instructions (in the spirit of open source), I will publish them online once we hit 10,000 supporters. Hitting 10,000 supporters doesn't guarantee that the kit will be made as it still has to go through the Lego review board. If it does get made, you will have your instructions with the kit. Either way, once we can get to 10,000 supports, the instructions will be available to you.

Here is the link on the Lego Cuusoo website (you must register) with the full details of the build.

Thank you for your support.

Arduino bluetooth project gets a camera. One 4N25 opto-isolator to turn camera on/off and one to take pictures. Wrote an Android phone app to talk through bluetooth to Arduino to control camera.

Flow is an Android custom who was commissioned by an Android collector. The collector allowed me to have free-range of whatever I wanted to do with this custom. As an artist, having free-range is wonderful, however I wanted to create something with a specific theme. I wanted it to have meaning. I named this custom ‘flow’ and gave him a water theme, and I will explain why….

As my time here in Spain is coming to an end (I finished my 8-month contract last week), I thought about my experiences and what has lead me to this moment. My career choice is different than the average person because I don’t know what country I’ll be living in next year, where I’ll be working, or who I will meet. It can be very stressful for someone who is used to (and relies on) stability. As much as it is very exciting, it takes time to get used to the rhythm of this lifestyle. There are blissful moments and moments when I feel like my world is caving in. I have learned a lot of things, but one of the best lessons I’ve learned is it is important to be like water and go with the flow. Life will present many obstacles, challenges and also opportunities. It is important to fight for what you want, but it is equally as important to let things go, and see what surprises life has in store.

“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
