I was playing around with shooting in the shadows. I haven't figured out why but my middle son always wants to give the tough guy look when I take his picture. Lighting was from an on camera SB-26, shot using "abetterflashcard" diffuser. I like this picture but his mom wasn't too impressed. She wants a "cute" picture of him.
strobist info: sb25 into umbrella on camera left providing some fill (triggered by Cactus v2s), minolta program 4000 auto firing from below, about two feet from the model(me) - camera right, and set back a bit, the minolta was fired by an opus optical slave trigger.
Just playing with hard light and blown out effects, IMO i think it came out ok.
