This is a pencil drawing of my son and my grandson, I thought that I would have a go at trying to draw some portraits. I have always admired people that can capture a likeness of the persons personality in their portraits. I am only an amature so please feel free to comment but please be kind
Ive noticed alot of the amature motox series are limited to where the public and spectators can stand. Health and safety, but it does make finding shots and pleasing backgrounds without ropes, fences, other people or photographers quite difficult. So really happy with this one.
The foreground interest is sharp, bike isnt static and has wheel blur and some dirt pickup from the wheels. The other riders in the background add some interest but not too strong and the tree which could be distracting is at an angle that works with the foreground rider. I think one of my fav shots as technical composition goes, a possible entry for the inter club competitions?!
This is the old style card that my SK elmer used to send out. I worked him a couple of tmes on VHF. Unfortunately I never received a filled in QSL card. I got this one from his estate and am happy to have it in my collection of cards. Because W8DL was my elmer, this card is one of the most important ones that I have.
