i cook almost everyday, but i hardly bake. baker stuff is almost a black hole in my repertoire. but, i decided to give myself a challenge in 2003 spring. i baked a big savory easter pie. i studied two recipies and took good-looking parts to make this pie.
the most famous recipe is the one of liguria (i've never seen recipes of other regions...). a pie is stuffed with the mixture of ricotta, parmigiano-reggiano, eggs, sauteed bietola (some green vegi common in italy). before covering the top with the pie dough, we make several holes on the soft filling and put whole eggs quietly.
it was exhausting but fun to make it. the problem was the transportation. the pie was big and thick, and it was so heavy and difficult to carry without breaking in crowded trains on the way to the town where marco's parents are living... fortunately, the pie came out cute, it was yummy, and, most importantly, it made the family happy.
but, oh, well, once is enough. i don't think that i can go through the hardship again. glad that at least i took a pic of my first and only easter pie...
毎日のように自炊してますが、ベーカリーの類いはほとんど作りません。ですが、２００３年春の復活祭には、ほんの思いつきで、イタリアの復活祭のパイにチャレンジしてみました。何とかうまく焼けたんですが、厚みがある大型パイなので重くて運ぶのが大変でした（^ ^; 多分もう2度と作ることはないので、こうやって写真を撮っておいてヨカッタ。
