After lunch I got myself to what seemed to be a rather famous location. At a given moment, we were almost 10 people waiting for the southbound trains in Mezzocorona. The first freight that passed was this intermodal from Köln to Verona, hauled by Lokomotion's 193 404 and 193 771. First time I got to see an Alpha Trains Vectron for real. Meaning my last visit to the Brenner line was way too long ago.
It was a pleasant wait, but only 1 more freight cam out of the mountains before it was time to move.
The first coastal brown bear encounter in Alaska. Mother bear emerged from the lake - she sure was a sight to see. Shortly following her were her two young cubs.

De volgende trein die naderde vanuit Duitsland betrof de Medway Neuss-Shuttle. De tractie betrof de redelijk vieze Alpha-Trains 186 227 met 'It's a match' reclame. Hier zien we de traxx met redelijk beladen Neuss-Shuttle vanuit Neuss door de bossen van Venlo rijden onderweg naar de Antwerpse havens.
*doordat er één plek direct achter de loc leeg was, is dit later in Photoshop aangepast zodat het gat tussen de loc en de tweede container opgevuld is.

Late in the afternoon, BNSF sent local L CHI1041 29A from Galesburg to Barstow and back with a trio of older EMD warriors, the return trip under the care of a much-maligned old BN SD40-2, seen here leaving the hole at East Alpha, IL.Another full day of time well spent on the "Peavine" and BNSF made it pretty worthwhile.
