The Snowbirds, officially known as 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, are the military aerobatics or air show flight demonstration team of the Royal Canadian Air Force. The team is based at 15 Wing Moose Jaw near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
The USAF Air Demonstration Squadron is the air demonstration squadron of the United States Air Force. The Thunderbirds are assigned to the 57th Wing, and are based at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

A view from Mt. Valafell in the southern highlands of Iceland, looking east. Valafell is a small mount with soft contours, and sticks out in the area, as it is covered in vegetation - moss, grasses, small flowering plants and heather - in a huge near-desert of volcanic ash and pumice, courtesy of nearby Mt. Hekla, one of Iceland's most active volcanoes.
I bought this yesterday for $3. I was rather surprised to see an auto focus, fixed focal length film camera from the early 2000s. Still, f7.0! You would have to use ISO 400 film.

Ik vroeg me af waar de 7863 naartoe gereden was. Aangezien hij ketels bij had, achtte ik de kans groot dat hij naar Sluiskil DOW gereden was, dus bleef ik bij de Goesseweg staan. Van hieruit had ik ook een zicht op de Sluiskilbrug dus echt missen kon ik hem niet. Niet zo veel later bleek dat de trein toch de brug overgestoken was naar één van de bedrijven aan de andere kant van het zeekanaal, want ik zag in de verte de loc met een setje andere ketels de brug over rijden. Ik besloot om weer eens in te halen, en toch nog een poging te wagen aan de overweg bij de Tweekwartweg. De boer die ik eerder vernoemde was namelijk het graan aan het oogsten, en er zou een kans bestaan dat de machine dan ook bij op foto kon. De zon zou er kops staan, maar het zou wel eens kunnen lukken om er iets moois van te maken bij de bomenrij. Gelukkig was ik op tijd daar, en dacht ik wat te kunnen rond kijken. Toen ik keek zag ik de trein al aankomen, dus bleef er geen tijd meer over om rustig een positie te kiezen. Ik besloot vlak bij de overweg post te vatten, en kon daar het laatste plaatje maken in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Na deze foto reed ik nog even naar de Langeweg, om te kijken of er eventueel nog iets zou komen. Het bleef stil, en dus sloot ik hier mijn reeksje Zeeuws-Vlaanderen af. Ik at nog even mijn laatste boterhammetjes op, en begaf me dan naar de haven van Gent, waar nog een laatste leuke foto op het programma stond.
