The Danish barque Astrid af København - a tanker - passing Kronborg castle in Öresund in 1926. This photo could have been shot from my living room today (except that a few trees have grown so much that Kronborg is not visible). My colorization of an image in the M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark archive.
Astrid, ex. Alice Isabella, was built by Ateliers et Chantiers de Penhoët in France in 1893. She was scrapped the same year that the photo was taken.

The Snowbirds, officially known as 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, are the military aerobatics or air show flight demonstration team of the Royal Canadian Air Force. The team is based at 15 Wing Moose Jaw near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
The USAF Air Demonstration Squadron is the air demonstration squadron of the United States Air Force. The Thunderbirds are assigned to the 57th Wing, and are based at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

A view from Mt. Valafell in the southern highlands of Iceland, looking east. Valafell is a small mount with soft contours, and sticks out in the area, as it is covered in vegetation - moss, grasses, small flowering plants and heather - in a huge near-desert of volcanic ash and pumice, courtesy of nearby Mt. Hekla, one of Iceland's most active volcanoes.
I bought this yesterday for $3. I was rather surprised to see an auto focus, fixed focal length film camera from the early 2000s. Still, f7.0! You would have to use ISO 400 film.

Yet another spectacular evening shot from Oman. Just after the sunset the other size of the sky got amazing color. I found this leading line to make composition. I went around this location for some time. However it is very hard to decide compositions up front. On top there is always a risk that you actually destroy your own composition on trying to explore the same. It did happen to me few times. Lucky that even in a desert where the sky is supposed to be very flat, I actually got some cloud to lit up the color.
Not to mention. Oman being not so popular for regular tourists is actually a gem of middle east. I have read about it, but had to go there to really believe how beautiful it really is.
