I started chomping in the garden again yesterday and today when I walked outside I got the heavy smell of smoke from the fires so I'm staying inside today.

I recently acquired a box of 5x7 Adox CHS 100 II and gave it a spin a couple days ago. This image was made with a Kodak Anastigmat 162mm lens, at f5.6 (closed down one stop).
I exposed two sheets: one received 3 seconds exposure and the second got 5 seconds. This is the 3 second sheet.
This sheet was processed in FX-37 (1:3) for 6 minutes, and the sheet that got 5 seconds exposure was processed in D-76 (1:1) for 8 minutes, and yet the FX-37 sheet is clearly more dense in the lower values than the one processed in D-76. This tells me that FX-37 does indeed give a speed boost to most films, possibly as much as a full stop.

We went to stroll through the MacDonald Forest yesterday and I got to make some photos using my new Horizon Panoramic (swing lens) camera. It's a pretty decent lens - sharp enough to provide plenty of detail. Fun little camera - it's the Poor Man's Widelux!
