The Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) and IREX hosted a conference titled "Media Law in Iraq and the Region: Rapid Changes/New Challenges" on March 4-5 in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan. Participants including lawmakers, government officials and journalists urged Iraq's parliament to amend controversial media legislation and abolish laws hindering the public’s right to access information. Around 8:30 local time, Sunshine started to deliver her newborns. Eventually she decided that birthing box #2 should suffice and she gave us four beautiful kittens in one-and-a-half hours time (every 30 minutes, regular as clockwork).

I shot this picture with ISO1250 to avoid having to use a flash; as a result the picture is quite noisy but serves the purpose.

Secondary access to the ice house from inside.
This is the ice house at Highnam Court. For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, an ice house was a storage area build into (and mostly) under the ground. During the winter when the lake froze over, the ice would be collected and stored in here. If the building was designed well enough and the summer wasn't too extreme, the ice would last untill the next winter. They became obsolete with the invention of modern refrigeration methods.
