One of the highlights of the Creative Festival 2010 was the fashion shows held at the Whitgift Shopping Centre on Thursday 24 June. Catwalk creations from the BTEC National Diploma in Fashion and Clothing, the Foundation Degree in Fashion Design, Pattern and Cutting and Construction and the BA (Hons) Fashion Design with Business students were shown. The Gala Evening performance saw the show opened by the Lady Mayor, Avril Slipper.

Since April 2024, UNMISS peacekeepers and other organizations have been denied access to Wonduruba in Central Equatoria, where civilians have been killed and displaced during outbreaks of violence. In October and November, three patrols were turned back by security forces at checkpoints. While UNMISS carries out most patrols across the country unimpeded, there is a worrying trend in peacekeepers being prevented from accessing certain conflict hotspots, which is impacting the mission's ability to protect civilians, deter violence, and build peace.
In this project, I accessed a high resolution, public domain image of a person(s) of interest. I used tools in Photoshop to retouch the image. I used selections, masks, and layers to isolate key active areas of an image. I made conscious decisions to control color in specific parts of an image so that color is the main focal point and communicated a specific emotion to the viewer. Finally, I animated the still image using the Ken Burns effect.
Although the photograph is in black and white, my research has revealed Elvis is wearing purple velvet. I decided to stick with purple as my color for Elvis’s clothes as violet signifies royalty and creativity. Nixon wears a suit, which I chose to color it a realistic brown as it conveys dependability and trustworthiness. I chose to drift away from realism with yellow skin color, because yellow symbolizes happiness, joy, hope and positivity.
I was inspired by the animated cartoon, The Simpsons, as it’s a fun and happy series with yellow skinned people. I want to make the viewer feel the happiness that Elvis and Nixon must have felt when they took this photograph. The yellow I’ve chosen to use as their skin tones effectively reflect happiness and joy to the viewer.
The door is boarded up these days. I heard some workers talking about some nut who got up there with a high powered rifle in 1981. I wonder if I could find any news on that.
The road leading off to the distance is an access road that runs along a creek and leads to what I think are some other former military sites.
The American Center Dhaka hosted the Access Program Graduation Ceremony on May 18, 2017.
52 graduates received Certificate of Achievement from the Director of the American Center, Dhaka. During this occasion, The American Center also honored Access alumni Towfique Khan for winning the Alumni of the Month award by the State Department.
The third day conducted with with games, poster design and presentations, and end the night with the students' performance.

The Exeter foundry which became Garton & King was started in 1661 and continues today. Amongst other things, they have been specialists in Aga cookers for the last eighty years. It has been known as Garton & King since 1865.
This road crosses the railroad tracks and goes to the water treatment plant, but it's my access to the Cedar Hill Trail.
