In serata il traffico sulla linea per Büren an der Aare viene rafforzato a una cadenza di 30 minuti. Il successivo passaggio della composizione proveniente da Lyss viene atteso nei prati tra Dotzigen e Busswil.
Am Abend wird der Verkehr auf der Strecke nach Büren an der Aare auf einen 30-Minuten-Takt verdichtet. Die nächste Fahrt aus Lyss wird in die Wiesen zwischen Dotzigen und Busswil abgewartet.

Overview of the North Brabant village of Terheijden, municipality of Drimmelen. On the right of the image is the Roman Catholic Sint Antonius Abt church, a building with elements from the 15th century. The photo was taken on a sunny winter day from the rampart of the Kleine Schans, a national monument just like the church building.

Dancers can't resist piling onto Arizona Ballet Theatre's newest chair. As you can see, the lighting in the current location is a terrible mix of this window's red neon sign and the ceiling's bluish fluorescent panels. I could take this as a n opportunity to use all the tools I have to cancel these lightening artifacts. However it will be much simpler to wait for Miss Cecily's Friday photo session.

The Don River Railway's 50th anniversary was as good a reason as any to head back to Tasmania. Unlike my previous trip a few months ago, this time would be mostly for trains - the DRR's anniversary in Devonport, plus a couple of days either side for Tasrail chasing. 15 February 2025

It's the last day of summer 2025, and the French-speaking part of Switzerland is enjoying it to the fullest with a warm day and clear skies. It's the perfect day for those who want to take a dip in Lake Geneva or for those who own vineyards.
The Canton of Vaud is famous for its wine, which counts for about a quarter of all Swiss production, second only to the Canton of Valais. Between July and October is harvest time, so on a day like this it is typical to see families going to the vineyards together in the morning to pick the grapes that they will then use for wine production. The route connecting Lausanne to Bern twists and turns through the vineyards, offering breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the French mountains on the other side.
In this picture-postcard landscape, an SBB “Domino” train serves as the S41 regional train between Lausanne and Yverdon-les-Bains, passing through the city of Fribourg. The train commonly known as “Domino” is actually a composition consisting of the ABt pilot carriage at the front of the train and a central INOVA low-floor carriage.
Pulling the whole thing is the locomotive at the rear, which is designated RBDe 4/4 or RBDe 560 according to UIC standards. Depending on demand, the trains are extended with more carriages or coupled together. Domino trains are gradually being retired and replaced by Stadler's modern FLIRT trains, therefore, in a few years photos of these trains will become a rarity.
