During the summer of 2005, Union Pacific began a campaign to replace all of the cantilever towers and signal bridges between Ogden and Evanston.
Mr. Harrop knew this, and devoted the summer months to document all of them before they fell. He captured this fine view of UP 9146 westbound as it passed ABS 9539 at the west end of Echo, Utah.
Beginning in 2017, UP began to replace the 2005 replacements with new Safetran signals for PTC (Positive Train Control). The new 9539 was decommissioned that August, and the head was turned away from the right of way. Astonishingly, it still stands today (July 2026), still trackside and out of service.
This is not photoshopped. This is one spectacular Cheetah @Mukuni Big 5 performing the daily cheetah run!
Fifth build for the ABS Builder Challenge. The seed part is the red curved slope.
As a side note, I slightly based the chicken off Heihei from Moana.
Down to the sea early one morning on holiday near the border of Scotland and England. A great place for walks, boating and diving with heaps of history thrown in for good measure. Thanks very much for your kind comments

I used the piece in a number of ways in this build: the closet and dresser doorknobs, the ceiling fan support, and the microscale Lego creations in progress.
The part is used 24 times.
