Fanum House Basingstoke. Headquarters of the Automobile Association Once the tallest building between here and America but has now been superseded in that claim by Skyline Plaza in Basingstoke, which is two metres taller. I took the picture at this angle as it appears as a Phoenix rising from its ashes and in effect so it has. Indeed , there is an organisation for spiders who are web spinning challenged , here to assist with web maintenance or with web-construction from scratch ! If you look at the picture fully enlarged you can see the 2 & 8 this spider has got his web into - our man from the AA is doing what he can , but to be honest this should be a total rebuild from the web support arms to the final centre ring .
The AA man is a well experienced chap used to working in odd places on many tasks - the last time I saw him was back in the summer of 2013 on a totally different job and as equally challenging - see him at work back then ----------------
