The Airbus A380 is a large wide-body airliner that was developed and produced by Airbus. It is the world's largest passenger airliner and the only full-length double-deck jet airliner.
My colleague Tony, and some others had the mobile app, for the scheduled flights to come in on that day. So, we all knew when to expect this one was due.
And Oh-Boy, it would have been impossible to miss or see this enormous big metal bird coming down towards you, for landing.
We, all enjoyed that day of shooting planes, which was something new and challenging for us.
This one is my favourite one on that day and raps up my little series of metal bird shooting for now. Until the next time around we decided to go and visit there again!
Which I give great thanks to my 400mm lens, for doing a smashing job for me, which even surprised me here!

The story behind this shot - I was at a park in Todmorden , West Yorkshire ,about 30 miles from Manchester Airport . I heard a noise from a aircraft above me . I knew what it was before seeing it . Eventually out of the clouds came the amazing A380 . I had to be quick ,you can tell how low it was because the max focal length I had was 200mm .

This one is for my friends Pervez, and Rick Schlamp.
This Image was taken when Air France took off for the first time with it's A380 service from San Francisco International Airport.
The jetliner had just disappeared into a fog bank over San Bruno, and I was putting the lens cap back on my camera when I suddenly saw this starting to take place.
After grabbing several shots, the plane ascended and was out of sight.
It was a good end to a long day of avoiding TSA and police as I searched for places to grab shots of Airliners taking off from this overly protected airport. A very nice end.

Was out in the garden photographing some flowers and above me flew the Emirates A380. I didn't have time to get the tripod as well as the zoom lense so not the best quality. Will look out for it again another day....tripod at the ready :)
