Got a new toy camera for my birthday, GE A1255.
Was looking for an inexpensive point-and-shoot, and after paying $80, discovered that I could set all kinds of manual controls, including white balance, an old-fashioned 'bulb' setting on the shutter speed, and several other little details.
The truly important criteria were:
a) it runs on double A rechargables* and
b) it fits in my jeans pocket (3 5/8 by 2 1/2 by 1 1/8 )
*I'm standardizing all my small electronics on double or triple A batteries that can be recharged using solar panels.
