The Elder Statesman. I don't often assign or see human characteristics in the images I make but I couldn't help feeling this statuesque pine was something of an ageing nobleman regaling the younger, more delicate courtiers with tales of bold and daring deeds!
I processed the image to this toned mono and settled on a look reminiscent of older reference books where images where often referred to as 'plates'. It has a look borrowed from a bygone time, I feel.
