Plain Swift
I was a bit taken aback when I first saw this bird. I've photographed many Plain Swifts over the years and never before seen one like this. It turns out the bird has picked up a feather and it gives it the appearance of being whiskered.

UP 9774 West at MP 24.5 on the UP Kansas Sub earlier this evening as the sun was going down behind the massive smoke bank to the west. I was already headed home when I saw this thing light up and knew that it was a rebuild so I decided to chance the bad light. It was still shootable light at this point, but about 10 minutes later it was washed out crap.
