Raccoon raiding my bird feeder area
This Raccoon was so intent on getting a meal, the sound of the shutter going off distracted her some, but not enough to run away and as a result I took a lot of pictures of her!

A juvenile martial eagle with squirrel prey. The poor rodent didn't stand much chance against this big fella. The adults are even more impressive.
Polemaetus bellicosus - the martial eagle is the only living representative of this genus.
Thanks for such positive comments. The remarkable thing was that we drove past this bird, saw it and had to reverse to take pictures through the sun roof of our jeep. It just sat enjoying its lunch and didn't care about us at all - we were perhaps 15-20 feet away and below it.

A few from this morning's walk at Lakenheath, Arrived at 7am (or just before) to try and have a cooler stroll than on home patch yesterday - it was still very warm! Had a lovely walk though with plenty to see!
