CSX Q165/CP 143 breaks down its train at Schiller Park, as seen from the Balmoral Avenue overpass in Rosemont. Up front are two GMD SD40-2Fs from the CM&Q and two CP rebuilds, including one painted as a tribute to Canadian and American fighter pilots.

I went out in hopes of shooting the Eastbound 504 local, knowing a BN and an ATSF were the power. BNSF used their big brain and set up possibly the worst consist I had ever seen. A crusty GEVO lead a MACe, BN 40-2, ATSF Dash-9, and three clean swoosh geeps from yesterday's LINHAS.

A small consolation prize was a fairly clean ACe on the LINDEN.

CP 9020 leads a CWR train east as they pass the approach to lake Louise signal, following 112 east to Calgary.

How could anyone forget.
