Did you know...
If you present someone with a single daffodil, legend has it bad luck may be on the horizon. Instead, deliver a whole bunch of them: a gift of several daffodils is believed to ensure happiness to the recipient. But that’s no surprise to us! It seems impossible not to feel just a little bit of joy at the sight of them.
Daffodil bulbs contain a compound called narciclasine. Scientists have discovered this substance may actually be effective in treating brain cancer!

17th July 2017 - Westland Sea King Mk41 '89+70' of the German Air Force departs the Royal International Air Tattoo. I honestly didn't think i'd ever see another Seaking flying so this was a rather nice surprise addition to the show.

I was practicing creating an image using less color than I normally do for an upcoming challenge so I desaturated my vibrantly red ranunculus a bit. It was hard for me to do, tending towards additional vibrancy, but in the end I liked the antique feel of it.
When I first took up the camera hobby, I was gifted the Nikon D50 on the right. It still has a nostalgic special place for me. Eventually, I somehow justified purchasing the Nikon D300S on the left. Its still a workhorse of a camera and does things no other camera I have can do. Though its a behemoth, I carried it everywhere and shot with it for years. Oh, and that's a D90 in the middle.
Now, I tend to use the smaller and more convenient Sony A6000 or even more convenient - my Samsung smartphone.
Maybe I'll dust off (literally) these Nikons and use each one for a week during this 365.

U.S. Route 89 is a north–south United States Numbered Highway with two sections, and one former section. The southern section runs for 1,365 km from Flagstaff, Arizona, to the southern entrance of Yellowstone National Park. National Geographic named US Route 89 the No. 1 Driver's Drive in the world.
