'Flyby'
An other image whilst out on the Gannet Diving Trip with Steve Race, Yorkshire Coast Nature. If you get chance to go on one next year, I cannot recommend it enough.
Many thanks for your comments and faves as always.
Hoping to see the Great Gray hunt this am so we were there by 630am. He put on quite the display, catching and devouring his meal. Just as the light started to become nice the crows flew in and chased the owl off. Very cool to watch the action and I sure dont want winter to leave us..yet.
When I make double exposures I always ask myself what it is I do different with the second frame. In this case I had selected a wide open aperture to obtain a thin plane of focus. For the second frame I kept the same aperture but focused on a different plane. I also adjusted the exposure level of the second frame to make it lighter. I was also very specific with my custom Kelvin temperature setting, wanting a cool, minty green. A workshop customer asked why I don't 'just do it in Photoshop'. For me, I need to see I've both conceived AND made my art at the point of capture and it's a discipline I like to set myself in a world that always seems to look for the easiest way rather than the best way. It might get a slight tweak in Photoshop/Lightroom but it's essentially how I shot it.
Prior to entering a Portal, it is always best to make sure you have a way out.
Did my first trip into the City. The thrill of shuttle express buses between subway stations, which didn’t express very well by the way, was not the greatest experience. I was on a portal search mission, and came across this set of doors at the Lillian Massey Building across the street from the ROM. A lot of interesting details around the opening.
