In the hour before sunrise, a full moon hanging over the Alaskan Inner Passage, fishing boats drifting in the current hoping for a bountiful catch. I was up early prowling the decks of our cruise ship looking for that award winning shot. I didn't get any awards, but I did get a few memories--the kind that I can relive through the ages from the photos.
It occurs to me that folks might not have the opportunity to experience moments like this for the foreseeable future as the Coronavirus has disrupted the cruise industry indefinitely. I hope you're all safe and out of harms way. Don't forget to wash those hands.

From very early childhood, my mother would take me by bus to see my grandmother every week, sometimes more. The house was big and full of treasures to my eyes. One was "The Lady On The Seat". I loved this fine Victorian study in marble. She sat looking at the dove by a window in one of the two rooms at the front of the house. I was allowed in there on my own and would press the keys of the upright piano.
Finally, my grandmother left me this and she came to live in my parents house. Finally when I married she came here.
I still love her and all the memories associated.
Mario found a cool barber shop during his previous visit to Milan, and we spent some time in front of the entrance hoping to find some cool guy.
We went there earlier on and we had no luck, now we were on our way back there and I noticed Aubree: red hair, freckles, hat, cool look and just beautiful!
Aubree was walking with a group of friends and for the second time that day I was able not to be persuaded by that.
If I recall correctly, they were working on this MTV event in the main square of Milan.
Mario helped me with the reflector and I fired off a few shots, not many really: a few with Aubree facing the camera and a few slightly turned towards it: choosing this image over the others was quite tough.
We had a quick talk and learnt that Aubree comes from LA; one of her friends asked me if I could give him one of my cards since he's touring the world taking pictures and was interested to know more about my project.
Thank you so much Aubree: it was such a pleasure meeting you and I wish you all the best!

I really appreciate your comments and faves. I'm not a hoarder of contacts, but enjoy real-life, honest people. You are much more likely to get my comments and faves in return if you fit the latter description. Just sayin. :oD

Perhaps this is way too literal a quote for this photo, but I like the message. I'm guilty sometimes of taking on too much and not following through.
Not feeling the 365 at all this week, I'm afraid.
(and I can't figure out why this image is so small..)
