A spot that needs no introduction. This is one of my favorite places in New England to shoot for its utter ease and simplicity and the fact that it always yields nice results.

The Tree at 83

Today traffic backed up on CSXT's ex Boston and Albany mainline with local B740 having locomotive problems which led to Q264 and Q436 catching up. When their issues were resolved with assistance from the mechanical desk in Jacksonville they quickly ducked out of the way in Palmer Yard and Q264 sailed by and then Q436 pulled in to make their set off before proceeding to Worcester.

Here are two GP40-2s with 10 cars for Palmer and one auto rack to take to South Spencer which they will do after letting those two aforementioned trains head east first.

The colors were really popping on this rainy morning and the sharp white painted granite milepost stands sentinel as it has for well over a century.

i remember when i was away and i couldn't sleep at night. and how i got out of bed and ran down the four flights of stairs, through the halls, down the incline to the student parking, to my silver vw. fighting that cold lump forming in my throat. i remember turning on the heater and the way it made my car smell. my feet were the first to melt.

sometimes i would drive for hours. i would find myself falling asleep by the atlantic ocean. after screaming at the sea and blaming it for everything. i would play that song over again and again until it was like breathing. an involuntary movement and sound that i was no longer aware i was hearing.

its been raining all day. and i've been breathing.
