Kiyomizu Temple, Kyoto, Japan.
Kiyomizudera (literally "Pure Water Temple") is one of the most celebrated temples of Japan. It was founded in 780 on the site of the Otowa Waterfall in the wooded hills east of Kyoto, and derives its name from the fall's pure waters. The temple was originally associated with the Hosso sect, one of the oldest schools within Japanese Buddhism, but formed its own Kita Hosso sect in 1965. In 1994, the temple was added to the list of UNESCO world heritage sites.

Another moose encounter on the boreal forest trail at Creamer's Field.
This shows one of the unique features of a moose, no upper teeth in front!
It is hard to get a full shot with all the trees, I might have to go in with less lens!
Shield bugs like this birch shield bug (Elasmostethus interstinctus) develop through several instar stages - it's not a larvae which then turns into an imago (adult). They can have some similarity between instar stages, but not always.
On distinct difference between the nymphs and the imago are the wings. Only the adults have wings and if you look at this one you can see the darker parts of the back which are what will develop into wings eventually, but at this stage they are unable to fly.
