Malva moschata musk mallow
An elegant relative of common mallow, musk mallow has delicate pale pink flowers that appear in July and August. It grows on roadside verges and field edges, and in hedgerows, pastures and churchyards. It favours dry places and is a popular cottage garden plant.

With a constant flow of trains coming in-and-out of BNSF's Murray Yard in North Kansas City, a southbound manifest crawls past a tied down southbound with an EMD SD60M of Burlington Northern heritage trailing third out on home rails near the yard office.

An old Studebaker Pick up truck driver side door. It was pouring down rain and gave a great reflection of the forest behind me.
NS 8163 is a long way from Altoona, her and a number of other NS units have been kept captive on the Northern Quebec Short Line since this summer.
With the engine running in N6 in order to recover air (good luck with that) NS 8163 still sits in track J057 at Rapide-Blanc with a busted main reservoir, I don't know how the story ended for this engine but if I were to guess, I'd say it eventually ran out of fuel. It might even still be up there dead & drained.
