it's amazing what hot rollers and a half a can of hairspray can do. also, that was a new kids on the block shirt. also, i didn't get any good pictures of my pink legwarmers and jean skirt... but you can just pretend. and be amazed by my hair. :)
Me (on the right) and my now husband before my senior prom in 1989. This is pretty tame compared to some photos I've seen of others' proms. I do have pretty good wings going on, though. The other couple was my best friend Connie and her now husband, Lance.
On a gloomy day, double PN Alcos 8033 and 8025 make a rare appearance on the front of 1921 empty cement to Port Kembla, with 8127 and 8132 behind them. Seen here passing Belfield shortly after their departure from Clyde.
These 80s are usually relegated to shunting duties or at best trailing units if they reach the mainline, and would be pushing 45 years of age at this point.
Well not literally you understand, as I require a considerable amount of upkeep. I cannot escape my New Romantic past - not that I want you understand! So do feel free to listen to a snippet from a-ha's live rendition of 'Take on me' which I was lucky enough to see at London's O2 last year. If you have a chance to see one of their farewell concerts in 2010 I strongly suggest you grab the opportunity. He can still get that top note, bless him!

A bit of a combination of projects...
I just had to buy this gorgeous vintage sequined 1980s cocktail dress as soon as I saw it. The colours are so bright and the sequins really catch the light. I love wearing it. I feel so glam!
Oh my gosh I can never decide what shade of pantyhose and which heels to wear though! I spend ages trying different looks and posing in the mirror. Being a woman is so hard!
Late 80s Audi 80 seen in E.London, pre-ULEZ any 80s Audi was a very rare sight as they don't seem to have survived as well as other German cars. This was MOT'd as recently as Sep 2025, but is now SORN.
Ex JR 205-0 Series EMU Set 33 stops at Grogol Station, on a KRL Commuterline (KAI) service on the Tangerang line to Tangerang from Duri station near Central Jakarta.
The interesting thing about Jakarta’s commuter rail system is that most of the stock consists of units that were previously used on Japans Rail Network, including JR, JNR and Tokyo Metro.
This set was originally built for Japan Railways in the mid-late 80s, and ran on its commuter lines until being exported to Kereta Commuter Indonesia.
