So, how many different ways are there to use an exposure of at least 30 seconds? I am learning that even though you run out of ideas, there is still always something around the corner! And as always with my work, there is a story!
Tonight was all about where I wanted to go! I was planning on hitting my favorite sunset location La Jolla. Why? Because my husband had an out of town meeting, so I was on my own till late evening. Then I got a text saying the meeting was canceled and he was not heading out of town. At first, I was thinking that the going out to take pictures was no longer going to happen. After calling him, he said, YES we will still go out! I gave a nice "yelp" into the phone and the conversation was over.
Now, it was many hours later, he got off of work and picked me up. His ideas were FAR different then mine! No beach, lets go to a reserve with a nice bridge. (one with out water, I told him that, but oh well!) Next thing you know, the sun is setting, and we were sitting to get dinner. No pictures of the sun setting and no beach shots. (sigh) When he dropped me off back at my car and said C-YA at home, I told him I might be late. I found myself on this bridge ready to capture some light trails!
Long story short, all for the good! I can always go to the beach, but these light trails were something special, at least to me!
I've been conducting some comparisons between the Helios 44M-7 and 44M-4. One thing I've learned is that the 44M-7 has the smoothest bokeh wide open...and it's sharp too.

What a great week, is really all I can say. I don't have school Friday's (yay!) so my week ends today. I'm taking this 365 week by week and I think the first run went pretty smooth.
It's quite cold again today. Hopefully its warmer this weekend; I want to break out my dresses for my 365 :) ....by warmer I mean not minus 20c...

Most of the time it's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and pajamas all day, but sometimes I get lucky, and the little princess under the dirt and grime shows up.<3
Hoping I can make it through this rough patch...got this one just by accident and it happened to be B&W. So for the moment it looks as if I'm still in.
(This will make more sense if you start at picture no. 1 and go all the way through to picture no. 8)
Despite their superior numbers the English Redcoats were forced to retreat! Horror of horrors one of them was even drinking Volvic, a French water as he departed!
Allegedly the Crown forces did not stop until they got to Tuam, However I'm almost certain I saw some of them killing pints of Guinness in Johnny McHales pub later that evening! Needless to say the French celebrations were held in the Humber Inn, another local hostelry.
