Am 26.10.21 wurde ich von einem Bekannten informiert das man sich in Koblenz treffen könnte und dann mal eine Fototour machen könnte. Er wollte ne kleine Überraschung draus machen.
Zu meiner Überraschung wurde aufgrund einer Feier zum Renteneintritt eines Eisenbahners, ein kleiner Teil der Leistungen (alle RBs zwischen 11 und 13 Uhr) auf der Strecke Boppard - Emmelshausen mit einer Schienenbusgarnitur gefahren.
So konnte dann die RB 88010 (RB 37) als Schienenbusgarnitur bestehend aus 796 766 und 796 752 auf dem Hubertusviadukt auf dem Weg nach Emmelshausen aufgenommen werden.
Dem Eisenbahner natürlich alles Gute zum Ruhestand und meinen Bekannten alles Gute, hat Spaß gemacht!

Am 30.11.19 war eine Schienenbusfahrt ins Ahrtal angekündigt.
Ich habe mich in Altenburg an der Ahrbrücke positioniert um die Leerfahrt weiter nach Kreuzfahrt zu erwischen.
Hier wurde die Fuhre kurz nach dem Ausstieg der Passagiere festgehalten.

Since the prognosis is that we may have icy rain this week, I dug out some photos of the last serious icy rain event in our neck of the woods. That was December 9, 2013. The trees still had colorful fall leaves on their branches. This rain just dropped on us overnight. What you see is not snow, but ice.

After having just passed me at the station, 255 with the BNSF #796 Warbonnet came to a stop to hold for an NS 18K that was working the main in West Point, allowing for a quick bike chase to get another angle of this train. CSX M641 is also doubling up on the Monon sub in the background (3/29/24).

Am 05. Oktober 2024 fand im kleinen Rahmen eine privat organisierte Fotofahrt auf der Mainschleifenbahn zwischen Seligenstadt bei Würzburg und Volkach-Astheim statt. Das Wetter war ziemlich wechselhaft, weshalb leider nicht jedes Motiv mit Sonne gelang. Eines der Top Motive der Strecke, der Silo in Prosselsheim konnte aber mit Sonne und dem 796 702 umgesetzt werden.
