Es zeigt den Blick vom Uerdinger Rheinufer auf die andere Rheinseite. Schemenhaft sind die Anlagen des HKM-Hüttenwerkes von Duisburg-Hüttenheim zu sehen.
I have uploaded this picture before. I took it out of the frame and slightly modified it again.
It shows the view from the Uerdinger Rhine bank to the other side of the Rhine. The facilities of the HKM steelworks in Duisburg-Hüttenheim can be seen in outline.

Rainy days and Mondays. Well this one didn't get me down. Especially with the sight of the Nickel Plate (NKP) 765 blasting through a summer storm deadheading home to New Haven after a weekend of excursions in the windy city, seen here eastbound out of Peabody, Indiana on NS' ex-NKP Chicago District.
Der an Sonntagen verkehrende Magnesitzug war am 01.03. mit drei ELL Vectrons bespannt - 193 765, 211 und 217 waren hier bei Langenisarhofen nordwärts unterwegs.

C&O 2765 arrives at New Castle Jct. in Mahoningtown, PA with a special from Orrville, OH to Pittsburgh, PA on August 29, 1993. The train is crossing the diamond with the ex P&LE New Castle Branch at OA Tower just West of the New Castle yard. The NKP 765 was dressed and lettered specially for these runs.

On Septmber 15, 2017, NKP 765 on CVSR roars next to Riverview Rd in Peninsula, OH keeping a steady 25mph, as passengers look at the beautiful scenery outside their window. This excursion kicked off the 2017 Steam in the Valley trips. This particular excursion was for the members, volunteers, and other people who associate with CVSR.

C&O 2765 leads a special from Orrville, OH to Pittsburgh, PA at CP43 in West Pittsburgh, PA on August 22, 1993. The NKP 765 was dressed and lettered specially for these runs. There was no chance of even attempting to chase this between New Castle and Pittsburgh, so I just picked a spot and waited for it. The train did stop at New Castle Yard, so there was always the opportunity to catch it there and then somewhere out on the road.

Nickel Plate Road no. 765 is a 2-8-4 "Berkshire" type steam locomotive built for the Nickel Plate Road in 1944 by the Lima Locomotive Works in Lima, Ohio. It is one one of the largest operating steam locomotives in the United States weighing over 400 tons.

Heading down the Nickle Plate cloverleaf line on a grungy rainy day, here NKP 765 rolls a NRHS special toward Muncie, Indiana out of Bellevue, Ohio on July 28, 1980.
As the sun rises Nickel Plate Road 765 hauls a photo freight across the Michigan countryside during an HTP photo charter. 2009.
