This is the 9th chassis built of 13 in total, and was entered along with three others into the 1970 Targa Florio. Driven by Leo Kinnunen and Pedro Rodriguez, the car finished a credible second having started fifth on the grid.
This was the only time the car raced, and is considered to be the most original example of the 908 in existence. Owned by Porsche, this 908 has made several appearances over the years at Goodwood events.

Approximately, the size of a salad plate, the "flying saucer" cactus bloom takes your breath away. Fellow photographers were kind enough to point me in its direction so I didn't miss it this morning.

Lake Mackintosh, near Tullah, was built by Hydro Tasmania in 1980 with the damming of the Mackintosh River. It is a beautiful area and the natural environment seems to have adapted to the flooding of this valley.
This photograph was taken on a misty morning after a night of heavy rain. We are looking towards the sun in the east. Once again the colours of the Lomochrome Purple film are soft. The beach here has taken on a pinkish tinge that reminds us of the pink quartz beach that once graced the original Lake Pedder further to the south. That beach is now under many metres of water from the huge dam that was constructed by the Hydro in 1972.
Composing this photograph with the Rolleiflex waist level viewfinder was a real delight. I took a digital photo of this scene as well, but it simply can't match this film for atmosphere. Digital is far too (hyper)realistic.
These are genuine film effects. No digital alterations were made here.
This dusk panorama was merged from 3 single shots taken from the tripod with the 75mm f1.25 Noctilux at the Leica M11. Merging, post processing, masking of the sky and editing it separately was done in Lightroom.
In comparison to the first panorama taken from this summit, view goes more to the southwestern direction with the entire mountain chains of Wetterstein and Karwendel. Zugspitze is well visible about two thirds from the left border. In the foreground we can see the mountains of the Tegernsee region.
This pamorama was merged from 3 single shots taken from the tripod with the 75mm lens. Merging, masking the sky and careful processing of both the landscape and the sky was done in Lightroom.
View goes from the near mountains of Tegernsee in the right part to the characteristical chains of Wetterstein with Zugspitze and Karwendel at the left side far behind.
