A pair of consecutively numbered Conrail GP10's, the 7551 and 7550 head Westbound across the Rockville Bridge in Harrisburg, PA during June of 1987.
This transfer run will shortly enter Enola Yard.
The first Southern Pacific engine painted in the SPSF merger scheme, SD45R #7551 leads the Eastbound LAMFF up Beaumont Pass on Aug. 24th, 1985.
This was also the only SP engine and one of only two (Santa Fe #5394 was the other) to wear the white initials.

There was an abundance of pooled power on Union Pacific, but their use of cab signals required that one of their ACS-equipped units would lead on the mainlines. This westbound departs behind a U30c and three WP GP40, WP U30b (2904-WP3536-WP3520- WP? -WP3067.) The four track main out of the west end of the yard at Tower A (on the other side of the Colorado & Southern viaduct) will soon split up behind me. Mains One and Two - the train is on Main Two - will start up Sherman Hill on the tougher grade, while Three and Four will make the more circuitous, and easier, route up to Speer. At Speer the Denver main will split off, leaving the fourth main to resume its westward journey towards Sherman summit as the "Harriman Cutoff." The Harriman Cutoff will rejoin Mains One and Two at "Dale", just west of the Sherman hill summit.

Southern Pacific SD45R #7551 was one of only 2 engines painted in the SPSF scheme with white initials. The other engine was Santa Fe SD45 #5394.
After the initials were changed to yellow, #7551 still remained a one-of-a-kind due to the fact that it retained the four side nose stripes instead of three which became the normal for this short lived scheme.
Here the 7551 is seen passing Milepost 538 which is located between Colton Crossing and W. Colton yard in February of 1987.
