Today August 29th Bastian celebrates his 6th anniversary with us. He has gained a little weight, but is still the same cudly and playful boy as back then, when we found him at the shelter. :)

Kiki (35) and Mrs D (95).
Mrs D: I lost all my toys when the war started and we had to leave my native Burma. We went to India only with documents and clothes. Everything that was dear was left behind...
Kiki was given to me on my 60th birthday as a present and since then never left me...

6years ago Mrs D was diagnosed with dementia. Now Kiki plays a very important role in lady's everyday life...

Everybody has a teddy.
Even if they say they don’t, they do,
they’re fibbing. Even kings, queens,
famous footballers, hairy rock stars
and busy teachers. Yours included.
And all those people on the telly. Them too.
And I’m sure even aliens have their own
equally cute, equally cuddly, equally
dog-eared, squished and dribbled-over
version of this classic soft toy. But why?
Well, why not? However old you are,
however grown up you may appear to be,
however important or bossy you may become,
in a hush of a moment every now and then,
you will still feel the need to open
the bedroom cupboard, remove
that little fuzzy bundle, and give it
a sniff and a kiss and a little snuggle
When u see this.....

A six year old trying to fly ....... Landrake MX a few years ago. This little chap did not get pushed into this sporting activity - he talked about nothing else until his parents bought him the gear so that he might try it out - he loved it.
Celebrating 6 years on this Flickr thing. Over the last 365 days, I have revisited old familiar places, explored new ventures, and even built on inspirations from the 400+ of you that I currently follow. Be it a closing retail establishment, the open road (and its signage), a Park I’ve visited a multitude of times, or am taking it in for the first time, I’ve tried to take the Nikon and/or the iPhone to document what life had to offer me. Thanks to all of you for coming along for the ride.
There’s more that awaits us in 2020. As one of my Facebook friends’ motto suggests:
“Don’t forget to bring your camera.”
Gloster Meteor, the first jet fighter to enter service in the Royal Danish Air Force.
The Gloster Meteor was the natural next choice for my plane collection. And as with my other planes this one also had it`s challenges, like the dihedral and shape of the outer wing panels, the engines and the rounded shape of the front fuselage. All in all pretty complex, and a lot of trial and error went into this build before I was satified. Only very few parts were painted this time, the palette of dark green bricks is quite wide. The model is quite tail heavy so a support is needed to keep it balanced.
About the Gloster Meteor:
Gloster Meteor was the first jet fighter in the RAF to enter service during WWII. The prototype of the Meteor F.1 flew for the first time in 1943 and excelled in destroying a German V-1 flying bomb.
Fairly quick, new types with more powerful engines were developed. The Mk.2 version was built in a total number of 280. In 1945 the Meteor Mk. IV with Rolls Royce Dervent V engines broke the speed world record, reaching 975km/h.
In 1945 Denmark bought twenty Gloster Meteor Mk IV. to serve with the Marines third Airflotilla. After the founding of the Royal Danish Air Force in 1950, these planes were transferred to ESK (SQD) 723. The Meteors served the air force until 1956.
Along with the MK.IVs, the airforce bought further more 9 Meteor Mk. VII (2-seater). Among other things, these were used for training purposes and served from 1950 to 1962. During this period 7 of these crashed.
In 1950 the Danish Air Force bought a total of twenty Meteor F. Mk.8. The following year these were delivered to ESK 724 at Airbase Karup. Later they were moved to Airbase Ålborg. Here they operated for 6years. The Meteor F. Mk.8 had a fuselage,70cm longer than the previous Meteors, pressurized cockpit, and an ejection seat.
When ESK 724 started to use the Hawker Hunter in 1956, some of the remaining Meteor F. MK.8 were designated as target towing aircrafts, while most of them were scrapped in 1957 to 1958.
In 1951 to 1952 twenty Meteor N.F. Mk. 11 was delivered to the Air Force. The N.F. Mk.11 is a nightfigther version with a longer nose section, containing a radar set. Some of these were converted for taget towing with the designation T.T.Mk. 20. The Meteor ceased its service in august 1962.

All photos from my Icelandic B&W series have been shot on expired films. Tri-X- 1 year, Delta 100 and HP5 between 4 and 6years and FP4 10 years. Films were cold stored at -12°C almost entire time.
I forgott to take reciprocity failure into consideration. The result was couple of 1,5 stops underexposed negatives. I tried to remedy the fault by push development in DD-X and Xtol.
It's hard to believe that almost 6 years ago this wild puppy came into our lives, the first year with her was not easy and we've had moments where we thought she had to go to another home !
But we are sooooo glad we didn't give up on her, we knew she was a very sweet girl and that is what got us through that period.
We couldn't have asked for a better dog, she makes us smile and she makes us proud !
Here she is patiently waiting for one of the pupcakes I made her, it has peanutbutter in it and the topping is Greek yoghurt, she loved it :)
We love you a LOT silly girl :)
