The Narrm Ngarrgu Library (meaning 'Melbourne knowledge' in Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung language). It is part of the Munro Development which forms part of the Victoria Market renewal and is part of a mixed use development and includes a 'one-stop-shop' for community services. Architect: 6 Degrees.

Sure it's only 6 degrees outside but at least the sun is out as well. And so am I...or at least I was. I like fresh air but I'm not stupid. It's cold man!

I drank my hot tea out there a bit faster than usual today.

this was from last week, and we are planning to travel to Chipping Norton to see Peter's mother in hospital tomorrow . . . I think -6degrees has been forecast overnight, so hope the Cotswold hills won't be under snow tomorrow. I imagine this image belongs very much to last week . . .

Now. in March 2014 this plant is under at least 12 inches of snow with the temp headed for 6degrees F.

Melbourne. Architect: Walter Burley Griffin + Marion Mahony. Recent refurbishment - 6 Degrees. One of the earliest examples of the art deco architecture, The 1920's Capitol Theatre represents one of the Griffins masterworks. The Capitol was the first reinforced concrete building in Melbourne. It was considered cutting-edge back in its heyday in terms of the lighting systems and multi-use status as a cinema and office building.

- The woman who didn't trust the person that was keeping her on hold for too long on the phone....

- The European visitor that was too tired for the tourist bus ride. Too much fun the night before, too little sleep after that...

- The girl that was tired of promises and was letting it very clear.

- The girl that was worried about something and couldn't wait to get home. But first, she had to finish that phone call.

- The guy that was asking for money to help the New York homeless, and who used his cuteness and charm to try to make sure New Yorkers' wallets would have one less dollar after crossing his path.

- The guy that was listening to his favorite song and still tasting that cocktail he had just had at the bar in the corner.

- The woman that wanted to buy very much and noticed prices were so high she could actually buy very little.

- The lady who had seen and lived so much that no one could ever fool her. Not that anyone would even dare.

- That guy that was trying to get the tourists to ride the tourist buses and who realized times of crisis bring cheaper tourism in the city.

9 people. 9 moments. 9 lives. Perhaps their paths crossed. Perhaps they wished they had. Times Square saw them live the moment and go forward... leaving the end of their stories to our own imagination.

3 Degrees from 'Six Degrees' of climate warming book, by Mark Lynas.

The Climate Roadshow explores Future Scenarios in the context of climate change. Three bodies of work show various futures as predicted through three lenses: science, permaculture and economics. ‘Six Degrees’ illustrates Mark Lynas’ book of the same title based on evidence compiled from hundreds of scientific papers on projected changes with each degree of climate warming.

I had a lot of fun creating this one. I made this entire costume myself. It took hours and hours, and sometimes I was wondering why the hell do I want to make a dress out of newspapers? Maybe just to prove myself that I could, to push myself to the limits, do something I had never done before… Eventually it was ready and it was time to shoot. It was could and misty that day, which was good because the fog makes it a little bit more fairy-like, but because of the cold (6degrees) I needed to be quick to take the shot because my model was freezing (we had already done other shots that day, so she was already turning into an ice sculpture).

Although the luck I had with the fog, I’m not that happy with the outcome, it could be better if I had taken a little bit more time to shoot and noticed some details. But anyways, I do want to share this with you guys, feel free to comment!

It was something different for me to do, something I definitely will do again. I have put the costume aside, waiting for better weather to redo this shoot and make it bigger and better.

The little balls of sand are left by thousands of soldier crabs filtering for food. I'm not sure why they don't go near the wreckage.

I'm finding Ektar really hard to scan.
