Late afternoon around Hücker Moor, one of my favorite places in Autumn.
Hücker Moor is a nice little lake in the Herford area (Northwest Germany). Peat was cut here more than a century ago and created this lovely landscape. Today the place is a great location for wildlife and worth a trip for the local folks in all seasons. Ostwestfalen, Germany

Canon 6D with Tamron 70-210mm F4
I picked up this lens during the past winter and only have taken it out once that I can recall. I wanted to give the lens a more thorough test drive.
So far, it hasn't disappointed.
I bought it gently used for a fraction of the MSRP. It was missing the F/R lens caps, but I had a spare set hanging around.
Pairing it with my 6D has provided quite pleasing images as long as I do my part.

- Dipsacus fullonum, syn. Dipsacus sylvestris, is a species of flowering plant known by the common name wild teasel.
It is native to Eurasia and North Africa, but it is known in the Americas, southern Africa, Australia and New Zealand as an introduced species and often a noxious weed.
It forms large monocultures (displacing other species) in areas it invades that have favorable climates and none of its biological control species.
The inflorescence is a cylindrical array of lavender flowers which dries to a cone of spine-tipped hard bracts. It may be up to 10 centimeters long.
It is a herbaceous biennial plant (rarely a short-lived perennial plant) growing to 1–2.5 metres (3.3–8.2 ft) tall.
Many people confuse teasel with thistles since at first glance they appear alike. However, the two plants have very distinct differences that can help you identify them. Read here:

New section of Foothills Parkway in Walland, TN
Taking some night shots and since the cars were passing I said why not get some light trails. I do wish people would dim their high beams when they pass pull offs and people and not blind us. But as long as they see us and don't hit us.
This photo also made a 2 page spread in Blue Ridge Motorcycling Magazine winter edition 2020 for their article about the Missing Link section of Foothills Parkway.
Going back through some old pics of abandoned vehicles, and decided to do a B&W series on these, highlighting and/or focusing on textures.
Almost a decade on and the Canon EOS 6D is still a justifiably sought-after camera. It's a DSLR with an outstanding reliability track record, great lens range and decent low light
