UP 6842, in new paint, travels west through the Fortuna sand dunes with only a few miles left before a crew change in Yuma AZ.

Conrail 6842 & UP 3142 lead PIBU on the Youngstown Line at the CPL signals in New Brighton, PA on the evening of July 24, 1990. It looks like a four track main here, but the two inner tracks are the Youngstown Line and the two outer tracks are the Fort Wayne Line. There is a flyover on the other side of town where the Youngstown Line runs under the Fort Wayne Line. Note that the MP designations on the signals are different for each of the lines. Kodachrome 200.
Decided to go by the pier yesterday afternoon hoping for a colorful sunset. Unfortunately, it was soooo cold and windy that nothing materialized.
