Occasioneel komt daar eens verandering in.

Had to make at least one trip up to see and photograph my favorite autumn wildflower species. It was a mediocre year for this species! This plant was one of the only ones that caught my eye.
Suddenly the sun broke through and found the tree and in my haste to get the shot I either missed focus, or, the tripod was sinking. It's nearly sharp enough. Might even get away with a print. But it's not perfect. Never comes the day when I make no mistakes.
Cromford Mill. The world's first water-powered cotton spinning mill, developed by Richard Arkwright in 1771. Closed in the mid C19th and put to other uses, the buildings were in a poor condition by the mid C20th, and were eventually purchased in 1979 by the Arkwright Society who have continued to maintain and restore the site. Now grade 1 listed and part of the UNESCO Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage site, it is open as a visitor centre and venue.
