July Sunrise, 16July2020, Coles River, water temperature of the Bay and river in the mid to upper 70F, air temp mid 50'sF, cool air temp for Mid-July, resulting in "smoke" on the water
A few nights ago I captured this in the night sky at about 11:01 pm. I had to wait until it cleared the low clouds over Lake Ontario, and the other Apartment buildings. The full moon had occurred earlier in the day at 7:39 am (local time), so this moon was already about 15 hours past being full. It's roughly only about 95.5% full at this point. You can noticed the shadowed craters along the upper left edge perimeter.
Being the "first" super moon of the year, it was actually noticeably bigger than what I would have expected for its position in the sky. Although it was still low in the sky, most of the colour was due to the smoke residue lingering from the forest fire smoke from earlier in the week.
